Félag frímerkjasafnara (Stamp Collectors Club) in Iceland was founded 11th June 1957. The club celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2007 with many interesting events, one of which is a national stamp exhibition. The exhibition will be held in Reykjavik Town Hall 11-14 October 2007. Hopefully the exhibition will inspire collectors, especially young collectors, and promote general interest in stamp collecting. Collectors of Icelandic stamps are encouraged to exhibit their collections or to visit the stamp exhibition and meet other collectors. Welcome to Iceland. |

The Program Thursday: At 16:00 the mayor of Reykjavik opens ReykSýn 07 among exhibitors and members of Félag Frimerkjasafnara. Group photography of all FF members. The exhibition opened for the public at 17:00. Friday: Exhibition open from 08:00-19:00. Central Bank of Iceland exhibits its collection of Icelandic currency. Saturday: Exhibition open from 12:00-18:00. A stamp market and valuation of collection in Iđnó between 13:00-17:00. Kolaportiđ (the Icelandic flea market) is also open from 11:00-17:00. Banquet at 19:00-23:00 with award ceremony. Sunday: Exhibit open from 12:00-17:00. Kolaportiđ (the Icelandic flea market) open from 11:00-17:00.
